A Minecraft phoenix statue 118 blocks tall, wings spread 120 across, rising from a pile of dark rock: red at the body, orange through the wings, yellow at the tips. It takes 38,908 blocks, half of them the rock. The game itself has no phoenix; this is one to build. It was generated on this site from the request above, for Java Edition 1.21.
The bird of the old stories
Minecraft has no phoenix. Of the mobs in the game that fly or flap, the bat, the chicken, the parrot and the phantom, only the parrot can be tamed, and none of them comes back from its ashes. So a phoenix in a world is one somebody built. This one keeps close to how the bird was described.

The colours climb with the layers. Red concrete and red wool make the body, acacia planks and orange concrete the spread of the wings, and yellow concrete is all that is left by the top. Built from the ground up, the statue goes from dark rock to gold.

At the world spawn
Stand at its foot and run /setworldspawn. Anyone without a bed then arrives beside it.

Smoke from a campfire rises 10 blocks, or 24 with a hay bale under it, and a lit one gives light 15. The pile tops out at layer 17, so from there a signal fire reaches the body. Part of the pile is brown wool, and whether a campfire beside wool is safe we have not tested: try it on a copy first.

The pile is hollow. At layer 7 there is a space 27 blocks square inside it, and a shaft at least 7 by 7 runs from layer 2 to layer 15. Nothing leads in: cut a door.

At 118 tall this is a landmark. A quarter of that sits on a tower.
